(JACKSON, WY)  —   Two Wyoming state lawmakers representing Jackson are voicing their support for gay marriage. Reps. Keith Gingery and Ruth Ann Petroff, both Republicans, are supporting a measure aimed at changing the state’s definition of marriage. Another measure would create civil unions, allowing same-sex couples to be recognized by the state with the same rights as other couples. Gingery says the number of gay constituents moving into Jackson and the rest of the state is posing a legal problem that the state must resolve.
