Mets Sign Outfielder Andrew Brown to Minor League Deal
Published at(NEW YORK) — The New York Mets signed outfielder Andrew Brown to a minor league deal and invited him to spring training.
Brown hit .232 with five home runs and 11 RBIs in 46 games with the Colorado Rockies last season. He hit .182 in 11 games the previous year with the St. Louis Cardinals, his only other year in the majors.
The 28-year-old Brown joins a Mets’ outfield that includes Lucas Duda, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Collin Cowgill, Mike Baxter, Brian Bixler and Jordany Valdespin.
