Louisville (16-4, 4-3 Big East) had several chances to take the lead trailing by one point with under two minutes to play.  Guard Peyton Siva missed a potential game-winning shot with 1.4 seconds left and Porter grabbed the rebound and was fouled to ice the game.

Markel Starks added 17 for the Hoyas (14-4. 4-3) who defeated its second-ranked team in a row.  They defeated No. 21 Notre Dame last Monday.

Russ Smith, Luke Hancock, and Gorgui Dieng had 12 points each for the Cardinals, while Siva was held scoreless.

The Cardinals have now lost three straight since they were ranked the No. 1 team in the country.
