Nuggets Stop Thunder in OT, 121-118
Published at(DENVER) — Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried scored the go ahead basket in overtime, as the Nuggets stopped the Oklahoma City Thunder, 121-118, Sunday night.
With 46 seconds left in overtime, Faried drove to the hoop and scored, giving the Nuggets a 117-116 lead.
Faried finished the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.
The Thunder (32-9) trailed by 11 with 5:49 left in regulation, but Russell Westbrook tied the game when he hit a long three with 22 seconds to go in the fourth.
Thunder forward Kevin Durant led all scorers with 37 points.
With the win, the Nuggets (25-18) snapped a two game losing streak.
