Poll: Ellen DeGeneres Named America’s Favorite TV Personality

Noel Vasquez/Getty Images for Extra(NEW YORK) — Daytime’s most popular talk show host is also the country’s most beloved TV star, according to a new poll.
Ellen DeGeneres was named America’s favorite TV personality for 2012 in a new poll by Harris Interactive. She ranked second in the 2011 edition of the poll.
NCIS star Mark Harmon fell from the top spot to second place. The Daily Show host Jon Stewart rounds out the top three.
More than 2,000 adults were surveyed between Dec. 12 and 18 for the poll.
Denzel Washington was voted America’s favorite movie star in a similar Harris Poll, the results of which were announced earlier this week.
