Unemployed Receive Extended Benefits

  Published at

(BOISE) – More than 6,000 Idahoans who recently lost unemployment benefits will now have their payouts extended.

In spite of not passing a budget in more than three years, Congress has voted to extend federal jobless benefits through 2013. Eligibility requirements will remain the same as they were in 2012.

State benefits will also continue for more than 15,000 people looking for work. Authorities say free assistance remains available for those seeking it through the Idaho Department of Labor.
