(CASPER, Wyo.) – Marijuana crimes are expected to rise in Wyoming following the recent legalization of the drug in Colorado.

Officials predict increased drug traffic through the state because of Colorado’s new law, which legalized the drug for anyone over the age of 21.

Wyoming lawmakers aren’t expected to change existing drug laws in the upcoming legislative session.

Anyone found with up to an ounce of the drug can face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
