No. 2 Duke had to fight back from a 10 point first half deficit, and then handle a strong effort from the Tar Heels, before winning 73-68 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

North Carolina (16-8, 6-5, ACC) received 23 points from guard P.J. Hairston and Reggie Bullock hit four 3-pointers in the loss.

Despite the loss, UNC head coach Roy Williams saw a difference in his team’s effort.

“I hope they realize how much they invested and that the results were better,” Williams said of his team. “It’s still a loss. Like I said I’m not into moral victories, but I hope that they take in that they invested more and they got more out of it too.”

Duke (22-2, 9-2 ACC)  received 18 points and 11 boards from senior Mason Plumlee, as the Blue Devils won their sixth straight game.
