Basic American to Purchase Nonpareil

(BLACKFOOT, ID) — Basic American Foods is in negotiations to buy out one of its leading competitors, Nonpareil Farms. The sale would allow Nonpareil to focus its efforts on marketing fresh produce while supplying dehydrated potatoes for Basic American. Officials say the sale could be complete within eight to ten weeks. Basic American currently operates facilities in Rexburg, Shelley, Blackfoot, and Idaho Falls.
