Bill Would Keep Police From Seizing Banned Guns

(BOISE, ID)  —  The Idaho House State Affairs Committee has voted to move forward with a bill that would criminalize local law enforcement officers attempting to enforce a federal gun confiscation. The move comes in response to growing concerns about proposed gun control measures from Congress and the White House, mirroring a bill that passed in Wyoming earlier this year. State employees found guilty of enforcing federal firearms restrictions would face a misdemeanor charge punishable by jail time and a $1,000 fine.
