The Heat won their 12th in a row by dispatching the Sacramento Kings, 141-129 in double overtime on Tuesday at American Airlines Arena.

LeBron James was once again the star for Miami (41-14), logging 40 points, 16 assists, eight rebounds and two steals. “Some great stat lines tonight,” James said. “But I’m happy I was able to do what I did and help our team win.”

Dwyane Wade scored 39 points, Ray Allen added 21 and Miami finished off a 12-1 month of February.

The Kings (19-39) got 36 points from Marcus Thornton, who came off the bench. “To be able to take that team to two overtimes just shows the testament of us growing,” Thornton said. “A team like that — championship team — they play great together. Obviously, I hate losing but it was a great effort by us.”
