Jeep Twitter Account Hacked, Joins Burger King in Recent Attacks
Published at | Updated at(NEW YORK) — Internet pranksters have apparently taken over the Jeep Twitter account, even changing its bio.
The new bio suggested the company was “sold” to Cadillac and used plenty of less than brand-friendly language.
Fifty minutes into the attack, @Jeep had yet to shut its account down, nor had it deleted the rogue tweets.
On Monday, fast-food chain Burger King had its Twitter account hacked with claims the company had been sold to McDonald’s. Tweets were sent from the account spouting racial epithets, insinuating that employees are partaking in drug use, tagging @YourAnonNews and using the mysterious hashtag #300.
