Leaking Sewage Damages Blackfoot Homes

(BLACKFOOT, ID)  — Several Blackfoot homes were flooded by a sewage backup Monday morning.  City officials say a sewer line on Frontage Road collapsed, flooding several basements along Riverton Road and surrounding areas. Authorities tried to contact as many homeowners as possible, many of whom were still at work. Crews worked throughout the afternoon to repair the line while cleaning specialists began draining basements of sludge.
