(POCATELLO, ID) – Pocatello residents living along the Portneuf River could soon have some of their trees cut down. City officials say the trees are damaging the concrete walls of the levee, leaving portions of the city at risk if the river were to overflow. They say that debris also needs to be cleared in order to access and repair relief well flap gates. Officials say it could take two or three years to repair the levee if work is done during low-flow periods in July or August
