(REXBURG, ID)  — An 82-year-old Rexburg man has been convicted on one count of sexually abusing a child.  Ronald Bird told a jury that he felt like the victim in the case, rather than the four-year-old girl he was accused of touching inappropriately. The alleged incidents occurred between April and September of 2009. In addition to his conviction on a sexual abuse charge, jurors found Bird not guilty of lewd and lascivious conduct. Officials say Bird could easily spend the rest of his life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for April 5.
