Other officials have suggested banning duty free alcohol from planes because it is often consumed in flight.

The issue is not a new one, but was recently in the news after a spate of high profile incidents filmed by other passengers. One man was recently charged with attempted hijacking after he got drunk on a flight to Egypt and assaulted crew members.
