Scientists: Skeleton Under Parking Lot Belongs to King Richard III

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(LONDON) — A mystery stretching back more than 500 years has been solved.
British scientists on Monday confirmed that a skeleton that was found under a parking garage in Leicester last September is indeed that of King Richard III.
Scientists at the University of Leicester conducted DNA and other tests to prove the match.
“All of these are highly consistent with the information that we have about Richard III in life and about the circumstances of his death,” said Jo Appleby at the University of Leicester.
“This individual was a man around the age of 32. Taken as a whole, the skeletal evidence provides a highly convincing case for identification of Richard III,” Appleby added.
