Cedric ‘The Entertainer’ to Host “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”

ROBYN BECK/AFP/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Cedric “The Entertainer” has been tapped to host the upcoming 12th season of the syndicated game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
“I’m truly looking forward to hosting Millionaire,” the 48-year-old actor/comedian said in a statement, adding, “The show is a modern day game show giant…It’s going to be a good time every day!”
Cedric replaces Meredith Vieira who launched the weekday version of the game show in 2002 and remained host for 11 seasons.
Cedric currently stars in the TV Land sitcom The Soul Man.
The new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire debuts this Fall.
