Chicago Blackhawks Defeat Dallas Stars, 8-1
Published at(DALLAS) — The Chicago Blackhawks (23-2-3; 49pts) lassoed the Dallas Stars (12-12-3; 27pts), 8-1 Saturday night behind a pair of goals from Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa.
Toews opened the scoring for Chicago at 9:05 in the first period with an assist from Nick Leddy and Brandon Saad. His second goal came 95 seconds later, giving Chicago a quick 2-0 lead.
“You are going to get a few bounces go your way,” Toews said. “It was nice to get on the board a few times in the first period.”
The Blackhawks are 2-2-0 since their NHL record 21-0-3 run to start the season.
