Drug Trafficking Rising in East Idaho
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — Idaho State Police have had several major drug busts in the past few months, all of which are part of a rise in drug trafficking along the I-15 corridor. Trooper Neil Stevens says that since neighboring states have legalized marijuana, there has been an increase in smuggling other drugs as well, particularly methamphetamine. He says most drug busts don’t come from tipsters, but rather, routine traffic stops.
