Governor Establishes 2nd LINE Commission

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — Governor Butch Otter has announced plans for a second Leadership in Nuclear Energy Commission. The first commission, which assessed the expansion of future nuclear manufacturing jobs in eastern Idaho, ended its official work with the state in January. Otter hopes that the new commission will assist the federal government in solving its nuclear waste storage problem, among other objectives. The board will be made up of experts from state offices, the nuclear industry, and the private sector.
