Jackson Man Killed in Avalanche
Published at(JACKSON, WY) — A Jackson man was killed in an avalanche in Grand Teton National Park Friday. Authorities say 40-year-old Jarad Spackman and a friend were skiing in the Teton Range when Spackman was caught in a slide and carried over a thousand feet down the mountain. Spackman was found a short time later lying face down and partially buried, though efforts to revive him were unsuccessful. This marks the second avalanche death in the park this year.
