Lohan faces misdemeanor charges, including lying to police, in connection with a collision between her Porsche and a dump truck on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, Calif., last June.  Her probation stemming from a 2011 necklace theft case was revoked as a result of the charges related to the car crash.

According to TMZ.com, the Mean Girls star had boarded a Los Angeles-bound flight at New York’s JFK Airport Sunday night so she can appear at the hearing in person.  However, she left the plane before takeoff, with sources telling the website she believed that fuel was leaking from it.  It turns out that the plane was diverted to Las Vegas after takeoff.

At last word, Lohan was trying to arrange for a private plane to take her to L.A.  TMZ says if she doesn’t appear at the hearing, a bench warrant will be issued.

She could face up to eight months in jail for the probation violation.
