(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An Idaho Falls man has pleaded guilty to possessing an unregistered firearm – a charge that could put him behind bars for up to a decade. 24-year-old Timothy Murphy had a shotgun with a modified 16-inch barrel, two inches short of the minimum 18-inch length requirement. Murphy was arrested in February following a four-hour standoff with police. Prosecutors are seeking a forfeiture of the shotgun. Sentencing is set for June 17.
