(GREENSBORO, N.C) — The Miami Hurricanes have won the ACC tournament championship to go along with its first regular season title after they defeated North Carolina, 87-77, on Sunday.
Shane Larkin scored a career-high 28 points in the victory, eight of them coming in the final minutes, to help Miami top the Tar Heels. Following the victory, Larkin was chosen as the tournament MVP.
Trey McKinney Jones added 20 in the victory and Julian Gamble chipped in with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
North Carolina was seeking career win No. 700 for head coach Roy Williams.
Miami finished the season 27-6. North Carolina fell to 24-10.
