The tag line of the double-decker bus tour: “The New NYC Bus Tour Ripped from the Post’s Headlines.”

The Post has teamed up with Metro Sightseeing for NYC tours “seen through the eyes of the New York Post. Our famous headlines come to life as the double-decker bus takes you on a ride on the wild side of the city.”

The tour promises to take riders by Manhattan’s most expensive apartment, drive by the homes of the “rich and uber famous,” ogle the topless bar “where they found that headless body” and a swing by the spot where Marla Maples experienced the “best sex she ever had.”

But the company promises no two tours are alike. The Post Headlines Tour, the web site claims, is updated every week with the latest news and gossip, though there are a few classic stops.

“The tour kicks off with a drive-by on the Queen of Mean’s homage to opulence, the Helmsley Palace hotel,” claims the Circle Line Sightseeing web site, which sells tickets. The bus then “hooks a right on famed Fifth Avenue past Tiffany’s and over to Trump Tower, the Donald’s original homage to his inadequacy and then quickly descends into a world of celebrity mishaps, sleazy pols and mob hits.”

The tour costs $49 and leaves every Thursday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from the corner of 57th Street and Seventh Avenue.

If the gossip of the left coast is more your speed, TMZ launched its own tours late last year. The TMZ tour utilizes the same people you see on the TV show as tour guides and promises to show you “the real Hollywood.” The two-hour tour leaves several times daily and costs $49 for adults and $39 for kids.
