(NEW YORK) — If wide receiver Randy Moss plays in his fifteenth NFL season, it likely won’t be with the San Francisco 49ers.
Moss, who spent last season with the 49ers, indicated that his future plans will not include the team.
“Wished we could’ve finished the job!!thanks for the opportunity an good luck in the future 9ers,” Moss tweeted on Saturday evening.
Moss signed with the 49ers in hopes of resurrecting his career as he sat out the 2011 season. In his lone season with the 49ers, Moss played in all 16 games and caught 28 passes for 434 yards with three touchdowns.
The 36-year-old Moss is one of the the most decorated wide receivers in NFL history. For his career, Moss ranks 9th in NFL history in receptions, third in receiving yards, second in receiving touchdowns, and 21st in all-purpose yards.
There have been indications by Moss that he will return to the NFL next season.
