Ammon Resident Killed in Car Accident

(AMMON, ID) — On April 24th at 1:19 p.m. Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle crash with injuries. This accident occurred at Garnet and Ammon Roads. Linda A. Vandekamp, 60 years old of Ammon, was driving a 1998 Isuzu Rodeo. Vandekamp ran into the back of a 1998 Dodge pickup driven by Randall Richmond. Both vehicles were going north bound on Ammon Road. Richmond was stopped at the intersection of Garnet and Ammon waiting for oncoming traffic, so he could make a left hand turn. Vandekamp ran into the back of Richmond’s vehicle. Vandekamp was not wearing a seat belt.
Linda Vandekamp had to be extricated and was transported to EIRMC where she later died of her injuries.
