Following the team’s loss this week to soccer club Godoy Cruz, about 150 Huracan fans charged into their favorite team’s locker room on Thursday and beat up some of the players they were rooting for the day before.

Adding insult to injury, the so-called “fans’ stole belongings from the Huracan players and even set some of their cars on fire.

Perhaps the Huracan supporters were just venting their frustrations since the soccer club hasn’t won a championship in 40 years.  Meanwhile, the coach and some players are considering quitting the team.

As it happens, Huracan’s chief rival is San Lorenzo, a personal favorite of Pope Francis, who hails from Argentina.
