On a vote of 361-41, the House followed the Senate’s lead and rolled back the Federal Aviation Administration’s sequester that had been causing flight delays across the country this week.

Several Democrats cried foul — 29 voted no — and said that it was unfair to leave other painful budget-cutting measures in place, while giving what they viewed as preferential treatment to fliers.

It is a temporary fix that allows the FAA to use budget maneuvers to keep air traffic controllers fully staffed.

President Obama is expected to sign the bill Friday, but White House press secretary Jay Carney says this is no sequestration fix — calling it “a band aid covering a massive wound.”
