NBC Launching Game Show that Will Last One Million Seconds

Hemera/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — NBC this fall will launch a new trivia game show that will be played 24 hours a day for 12 days by its contestants.
The Million Second Quiz will air live in primetime from an hourglass-shaped structure in New York City, where the most successful players will also live. Other contestants will try to displace those “champions.”
NBC promises the show will be interactive with viewers, allowing them to play along in real time and possibly earn a spot in the primetime competition.
When the million seconds expire, a trivia battle between the champions will ensue, with a prize of up to $10 million at stake.
NBC found success with the multi-night, primetime game show format nearly a decade ago, with Deal or No Deal.
