New York Police Veteran Kills Toddler Son, Boyfriend and Herself

Hemera/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — An off-duty New York City police officer shot and killed her infant son along with her boyfriend before she shot and killed herself, according to police.
Police said they discovered the woman dead in the apartment with the infant in her arms. The boyfriend was found dead in the front doorway.
The three were discovered just before 9 a.m. Monday in an apartment in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn.
The officer has not been identified, but police said she was 43 years old and had been with the NYPD 13 years. The boyfriend was in his 30s. Her son was less than a year old.
The woman’s older son, a 19-year-old from a previous marriage, jumped out the back window to call for help. When police found him, he was only wearing boxer shorts and a windbreaker jacket.
No motive has been released.
