Olson Pushing for Timely Child Porn Prosecutions

(POCATELLO, ID) – U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson says the key to fighting child pornography in southeast Idaho is to prosecute suspects in a timely manner. Olson says court cases require skilled investigators going through thousands of images to identify underage victims, and that witnesses should be reached early to make sure their memories are fresh. She says easy Internet access has nearly doubled child porn cases over the past 20 years.
