Reese Witherspoon Spending Time with Kids Following Arrest

Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) — Following her arrest last week in Atlanta on a disorderly conduct charge, Reese Witherspoon is focused on spending quality time with her two oldest children.
A source tells People magazine, “She is happy to be home with her kids again” in Los Angeles. She has a 13-year-old daughter, Ava, and 9-year-old son, Deacon, from her marriage with Ryan Phillippe.
The source says, “She didn’t feel good about being away from them after the news of her arrest broke.”
People reports that Witherspoon explained the arrests to her kids on the phone after the incident.
E! News is similarly reporting that Witherspoon is attempting to stay under the radar by keeping close to her family. Its source says, “It’s going to take her a long time to get over and she knows she let her family down.”
Witherspoon did have a smile on her face when she was photographed in public in L.A. on Thursday.
Witherspoon’s husband, Jim Toth, was arrested on a DUI charge during the Atlanta incident. They welcomed a son, Tennessee James, last September.
