Roger Ebert Cutting Back Workload After New Cancer Diagnosis
Published at(NEW YORK) — Famed film critic Roger Ebert admitted on his blog Tuesday that a newly-diagnosed cancer has forced him to cut back his workload.
Ebert, who was left disfigured and unable to speak, drink, or eat after surgery to treat cancer of the jaw in 2006, posted that he’s undergoing radiation treatments to battle the cancer first thought to be a bone fracture.
He’s calling the change a “leave of presence,” explaining, “It means I am not going away. My intent is to [review]…only the movies I want to review.”
