Warriors Edge Nuggets, Take 2-1 Series Lead

Getty Warriors Nuggets Game3?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1367071888011John Leyba/The Denver Post(OAKLAND, Calif) — Stephen Curry, who was playing on a sprained left ankle, scored 29 points and dished out 11 assists leading the Golden State Warriors past the Denver Nuggets 110-108 Friday night.

The Warriors now lead their best-of seven playoff series 2-1.

” Feels good,” Curry said of his ankle. “Just thankful to be able to get through the game without any instances. I will continue my treatment and hopefully it feels even better come Sunday.”
                            

The game went down to the wire and wasn’t determined until Andre Iguodala missed a 3-pointer as time expired.

Jarrett Jack compiled 23 points and seven assists, and Harrison Barnes and Carl Landry each scored 19 in the win.

Ty Lawson scored a game high 35 points, and his 3-pointer with 8:51 left in the third quarter gave the Nuggets a 71-58 lead. The Warriors then went on a 15-2 run to take the lead. After that neither team led by more than six points.

Game 4 is Sunday in Oakland. Tip-off is set for 9:30 PM eastern time.
