Wife of “Muppets” Creator Jim Henson Dead at 78

Mark Wilson/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — The wife of late Muppets creator Jim Henson died in her Connecticut home on Tuesday following a battle with cancer.
Jane Nebel Henson, who was 78, was a creative and business partner in the Muppets franchise. She also served on the board of The Jim Henson Foundation, which promotes and develops the art of puppetry.
Jane and Jim Henson met in a University of Maryland puppetry class in the mid-1950s. They had five children together. The couple legally separated in 1986.
Jim Henson died in 1990.
