Wolf Population Dropping
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Idaho’s wolf population is on the decline. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game reports that the state saw an 11 percent decrease in the number of wolves living in the state from 2011 to 2012. Wildlife experts attribute the drop to hunting, trapping, and other control methods. State officials are encouraged by the change, saying it will improve efforts to reduce the impact of wolves on livestock and elk depredation.
