Woman Stabs Man With Steak Knife

(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello woman has been jailed without bond after police say she stabbed a man in the chest with a steak knife early Monday. Twenty-six-year-old Whitney Smiddy was charged with felony aggravated battery for allegedly stabbing Mike Burnham during a domestic dispute. The incident occurred at an apartment along Industrial Lane. Police were called to Portneuf Medical Center just before 6 a.m. to get information from Burnham, who then identified Smiddy as the suspect. Authorities say Smiddy will face additional charges because children were present during the stabbing.
