“That’s probably the biggest goal in the history of Yale hockey,” head coach Keith Allain said.

Yale (21-12-3) dominated the majority of the game, not allowing Lowell (28-11-2) to get a shot off in the extra period.

Jeff Malcolm stopped 16 shots for Yale but only faced three of them over the final 27 minutes of action.

The Bulldogs will face Quinnipiac in the title game Saturday night.  Neither school has ever won a hockey championship.
