Bulls’ Joakim Noah Defends Derrick Rose
Published at(MIAMI) — The Chicago Bulls surprise playoff run continues as former MVP Derrick Rose continues to remain on the sidelines. Center Joakim Noah is tired of all the criticism aimed towards Rose.
“If you tore your ACL and you have to be the starting point guard and have the expectations that Derrick has, then maybe you can judge, but everybody who hasn’t been in this situation before should really shut up because I feel like it’s so unfair to him and to this team,” Noah said of his teammate.
Even though he’s been cleared by doctors to play, Rose is still recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered during the first round of the playoffs last season. He has yet to play a single minute this season.
When healthy, Rose is one of the best players in the NBA. Last season he averaged 21.8 points and 7.9 assists per game for the Bulls.
