(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – Eastern Idahoans are rallying behind the family of an Idaho Falls man who was injured in a hunting accident earlier this week. Thirty-four-year-old Curtis Jaussi is a husband and father of three who accidentally shot himself in the leg while bear hunting in central Idaho. Jaussi was taken to a hospital in Boise where doctors had no choice but to amputate his leg above the knee. Jaussi’s family has been raising funds to help pay for his treatment, and have already received an outpouring of support. Jaussi is expected to return to Idaho Falls some time next week.
