(POCATELLO, ID) – Area emergency responders are planning a mock emergency at the Pocatello Regional Airport Wednesday. Coordinators are staging a simulated aircraft crash as part of a multi-level training exercise. Officials hope to test the response time in order to better prepare emergency crews and work out any kinks in the system in the event of a real disaster. Planners say it’s been a long time since they’ve been able to do something like this, and are working to ensure that exercises like this one happen at least every three years.
