‘Fast and Furious 6’ Tops Biggest Ever Memorial Weekend Box Office
Published at(NEW YORK) — Fast and Furious 6 won the race for the top spot at the box office this holiday weekend, which, according to Hollywood.com, was the biggest Memorial weekend ever.
The four-day period is expected to see a box office draw of $323 million, and an impressive draw even not counting Monday. The Christmas weekend of 2009 had a bigger Friday through Sunday total than this weekend did, but this was the best four day weekend.
Fast and Furious 6 brought in $122.2 million, and The Hangover Part III took second with $52 million. Star Trek: Into Darkness dropped down to third place, taking in $48 million in its second million.
