Fernando Alonso Wins F1’s Spanish Grand Prix

Clive Rose/Getty Images(BARCELONA, Spain) — Fernando Alonso captured his second Formula One race of the season on Sunday, winning the Spanish Grand Prix.

Starting from fifth position, the driver for Ferrari moved up to third on the first lap after passing Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton on turn three. Following a pit stop, Alonso took the lead for good from Raikkonen on lap 38 for his 32nd career victory.

Raikkonen finished in second while Alonso’s teammate, Felipe Massa was third.
