Jefferson County Declares Drought
Published at(RIGBY, ID) – Jefferson County commissioners have declared a drought emergency. Under the terms of the resolution passed earlier this week, homeowners won’t have to conserve water, though they’ll be able to more easily file drought emergency transfer applications in the event that their water supply runs low. The measure still needs approval from Gov. Butch Otter co-signed by state water officials. Administrators in Fremont and Clark counties have already passed similar resolutions.
