Jennifer Lopez Spends $10 Million for Hamptons Mansion

Kevin Winter/Getty Images(NEW YORK) — Jennifer Lopez has reportedly been looking for a place in the Hamptons to spend her summers, and the New York Post reports she’s found the perfect property for $10 million.
The 8,659-square-foot estate in Water Mill features a sauna, steam room, theater and a pool, to go with its eight bedrooms and seven baths. That should be more than enough space for the 43-year-old former American Idol judge, her 25-year-old boyfriend Caspar Smart and her twin 5-year-olds, Emme and Max.
But what really sold Lopez on the lush digs, according to the newspaper, was the privacy it offered. The house is set on three acres and tucked into a cul-de-sac. Lopez reportedly also liked that there was plenty of room to build a guest house for visiting family and staff.
Real estate observers note the $10 million price tag is a steal considering it costs $425,000 to rent the home from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The singer shouldn’t have any problem coming up with the money. Last year, she was ranked number one on Forbes magazine’s Celebrity 100 list, earning $52 million in 2012.
