(POCATELLO, ID) – A Pocatello man may have a potentially ground-breaking piece of art, right in his own home. Sergio Romero says he has what may be the earliest Ansel Adams photograph in existence. The picture, which dates back to around 1917, was taken in Yosemite National Park when Adams was only a teenager. Romero plans to meet with curators of the Ansel Adams gallery in California later this month to determine the photo’s authenticity. Romero says he found the picture in the home of a life-long art collector.
