Pocatello Revisiting LGBT Ordinance
Published at(POCATELLO, ID) – The Pocatello city council is revisiting its non-discrimination ordinance, which failed to pass a majority vote a few weeks ago. A new draft of the measure includes wording protecting religious freedom, while maintaining hiring exemptions for businesses with five or fewer employees. The law would largely ban discrimination based on a person’s sexual orientation in matters of housing and employment. Officials plan to discuss the measure at tonight’s city council meeting.
