Prosecutors: Lindsay Lohan Violated Probation by Leaving Rehab

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) — Lindsay Lohan may be in big trouble, again. Santa Monica, Calif., prosecutors say she violated the terms of her probation by leaving a Newport Beach rehab facility just minutes after she arrived on Thursday, according to The Los Angeles Times.
Lohan’s attorney had said earlier in the day that the Mean Girls star checked into Morningside Recovery to begin a court-ordered 90-day treatment program. However, E! News reports that at the time the attorney spoke in court, Lohan was spotted at an electronics store in Fountain Valley, Calif.
The actress reportedly visited Morningside afterward, but quickly left, and was planning to return to New York — possibly to check into a treatment center at which she’d initially been set to receive treatment.
TMZ says prosecutors will seek an arrest warrant if Lohan does not return to Morningside by sunrise Friday.
Lohan was slated to enter Seafield Center, located in the Hamptons section of Long Island, N.Y., by Thursday morning. However, TMZ claims she was concerned that the facility would not allow her to smoke, and that she decided she’d rather begin her 90-day stint at Morningside, where she briefly received treatment three years ago.
Judge James R. Dabney had said Thursday morning he would review the facility and decide if it is a proper place for Lohan to serve her time.
According to TMZ, Morningside had its license revoked in 2012 after failing to provide adequate treatment for patients. Also, 20-year-old Brandon Jacques, who was battling alcohol addiction and bulimia, died under the treatment center’s care. Morningside has denied it is not licensed.
In March, Lohan agreed to a plea deal in connection with her car crash case that included 90 days of locked-down rehab, 30 days of community labor and 18 months of psychological therapy.
